For the last two years, we’ve had the pleasure of working with Kirkland & Ellis law firm as one of their pro bono clients. I cannot say enough wonderful things about our experience working with our K&E team! We truly have access to the best attorneys in town, whether our needs relate to contracts or real estate, and they have been a true joy to work with.

Fun fact: the K&E Chicago office is the largest law firm in the city, with about 2,000 attorneys. They take on over 800 pro bono clients every year, ranging from nonprofits like us to working with individuals.  So when K&E invited RBA to be one of just two pro bono clients that was asked to speak at their annual Pro Bono Awards ceremony, it was a true honor.

But the best part of the evening was that I was joined by a very special guest. Charlene, one of RBA’s founding students, is an aspiring lawyer and she not only got to visit her first law firm, but Charlene also volunteered to speak!  We got the full tour of the K&E building, including taking in the views from their beautiful terrace as well as a stop for Charlene to sit at the head of the board room table (please click on the images attached if they don’t immediately open for you).  Charlene had an incredible time meeting so many lawyers, but the admiration was mutual – she received compliments all night long for having the courage to speak in front of a couple hundred attorneys and for giving such a terrific speech.

Thank you to K&E and to all of our amazing partners – including you – who make it possible for us to create this type of magical experience for our students!
