Tobi joins RBA with years of clinical social work, and school social work experience. Working in various capacities at over a dozen school and non-profit organizations, RBA was a perfect blend of everything Tobi is passionate about. Her clinical experience with adolescents is rooted in strength-based models and evidence-based practices to enable one to achieve overall health and wellness. Her work and research in trauma informed practices is at the core of all therapeutic interventions designed for RBA. Working previously for a family therapy agency partnered with child protective services, allows Tobi to understand the full picture, and take a more global approach in partnering with the school, the home, and the community, to empower each student’s success. Running various teen summer and workshop programs, Tobi guides our social work interns to bring the fun into the social-emotional development programming.
Receiving her Masters of Social Work from LIU, with a minor in Addiction Counseling, Tobi uses Motivational Interviewing to help guide students towards achieving their goals. While her clinical work with teens in private practice fills much of her time, her true enjoyment comes from teaching college level human development and psychology courses. All of this allows Tobi to have a fuller appreciation for the approach and incredible work being done at Ryan Banks Academy.
