Michelle Singleton has a passion in developing curriculum encompassing active and hands on learning in math and science. She is motivated by the belief that any content or subject matter can be loved with the right tools and creativity. Michelle obtained her B.A. in Environmental Science from Baylor University in Waco, TX. She then moved to Chicago and earned her M.Ed in Secondary Education from DePaul University. After completing her Masters she dedicated her time to K-12 English inclusion in Mexico City, MX working with teachers in improving International Baccalaureate curriculum. She then continued her career teaching Secondary Science in Chicago Public Schools, integrating innovative inquiry based models with real world lessons.
Michelle has also dedicated her time to empowering and providing resources to the African American Community as a Co-Founder of Black and Proud Corporation, a non-profit focused on improving economic and financial wealth in the community. She is eager and excited to continue her passion and work with the Ryan Banks Academy team.
